Bosses are unique enemies in Hollow Knight with typically higher health or deal more damage than the standard creatures in the same area. The Knight may have to defeat a Boss to access a new area, acquire an item, complete a quest, or simply further the main story of the game. When the Knight encounters a Boss, their name will appear on-screen, and the music will change into a battle theme.
What is the easiest dream boss. After a full hour of grinding, I finally beat the first boss of Hollow Knight. 354 comments. Save hide report. Posted by 6 days ago. Fake Quirrel Game Concept Screenshot. Save hide report.
Oh yeah I never go for a spell build in any of these Souls type of difficulty games. Actually in any action RPG I don’t. Melee build every time. In Hollow Knight I legit forget I even have any spells at all. That’s not a fight in my opinion. Nothing better than going straight sword and shield.
Dec 18, 2014 All Hollow Knight Bosses Ranked Easiest to Hardest (Voted by the community!). The Hollow Knight 2.401 out of 5 #17. The Collector 2.436 out of 5 #16. Galien 2.527 out of 5. Beat both him and the false knight's dream boss with this charm equipment first try. People keep telling others to equip quick focus. Equip jonni's blessing. Back to Hollow Knight
Grey Prince Zote
Grey Prince Zote can be found in Bretta’s basement back at Dirtmouth as long as you’ve rescued both Bretta and Zote and defeated Zote in the Colosseum of Fools. He can be fough up to 10 times but only gives 300 Essence the first time you defeat him.
Grey Prince Zote doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing and is constantly falling over. He’s still difficult to defeat as each time he falls over he’ll create a shockwave and he also likes to teleport around the arena before slamming into the ground.
Zote has 1200 health for the first battle. You’ll need to learn which moves create shockwaves so you can time your jumps over them. You can often get in a swipe or two after each shockwave. The Quick Slash and Fragile Strength charms work will for this fight. The Fragile charms won’t break if you lose a dream boss fight.
Failed Champion
The Failed Champion can be found above the arena where you fought the False Knight. After jumping up break the wall to the right and use the Dream Nail on the dead maggot. You can use the Dream Nail on the other Maggots to replenish your soul before entering the fight.
The Failed Champion is a buffed version of the False Knight. Each of his attacks will cause rocks to fall down from the roof but most of his attacks are very similar. When he jumps towards you this gives you a chance to dash underneath. You’ll be able to get in a few strikes before he turns around.
Standing in one of the corners may give you a chance to heal, especially if you have the Quick Focus charm equipped. The Failed Champion will get knocked over a few times, giving you a chance to heal or hit his head for more soul. Eventually he’ll be defeated and go crashing through the floor. Once he’s defeated you’ll receive 300 Essence.
Lost Kin
The Lost Kin can be found in the same place as the Broken Vessel in the Ancient Basin. He has 1200 health and slightly more difficult attacks. During the fight blobs of infection will spawn and chase after you.
The strategy for defeating the Lost Kin is basically the same as the Broken Vessel. stay on the ground because the Lost Kin likes to jump. Use Quick Slash to get in many hits at a time and Desolate Dive to really do some damage quickly. Killing the blobs that spawn give you soul so you should have no problem using spells during this fight.
A few times throughout the fight the Lost Kin will get knocked over for a short while, giving you a chance to heal, but you’ll still need to keep an eye on any infected blobs heading your way. Once the Lost Kin has been defeated you’ll be rewarded with 400 Essence.
White Defender
The White Defender has a lot of health, 1600 HP to be exact. He can be found by using the Desolate Dive just under the room to the right of the Dung Defender, where the lever is located.
The White Defender has many of the same attacks as the Dung Defender but he’s fairly easy to predict and most of the attacks can be avoided. Use Quick Slash to hit him repeatedly while he tosses the dung. Follow him around and get in swipes as he performs the dung eruption. If you’re close to him the dung won’t hit you.
Once the White Defender has been defeated you’ll be rewarded with 300 Essence.
Soul Tyrant
The Soul Tyrant can be found in the same location as the Soul Master. Use the Dream Nail on the corpse to initiate the fight. The Soul Tyrant has 900 health in the first phase and 350 health in the second.
The Soul Tyrant’s attacks are the same as the Soul Master except he’s a little bit quicker and has more fireballs during his spinning fireball attack. Having the Monarch Wings will make it easier to avoid the shockwave from the ground pound attack.
The Soul Tyrant will teleport around the arena making him difficult to catch up to. You may only get in one or two attacks at a time so the Quicky Slash charm is not very effective for this battle.
During phase 2 the Soul Tyrant will smash through the floor and land in the arena below. He performs teleporting slams repeatedly until he eventually floats stationary on one side of the room. This is your chance to kill him. Avoid the fireballs and hit him with the Abyss Shriek or the Nail. Once he’s defeated you’ll be rewarded with 300 Essence.

Tips for beating radiant bosses in Hollow Knight's Hall of gods.
Guide to Beat Radiant Bosses
What Are Radiant Bosses?
Radiant bosses are special difficulty mode for bosses found in Hall of Gods located in Godhome. They are special version of every boss. What's so special about them? They have Infinite Damage ! But fear not! They may appear annoying and hard at beggining but they are equally easy to nail down (pun not intended) and hopefully this guide will help you!
Tips, Tricks and Advices
Don't be afraid of overcharming That's probably most obvious one. If you don't know what overcharming is: If you want to equip charm that you have too few notches to fit, you can still equip it if you keep adding it. However you become overcharmed and everything deals double damage. Buuut, on gamemode where enemies deal infinite damage it don't matter. Equip as much charms as possible because even mediocre one notch charm can save your bum Offensive over defensive Like I mentioned ealier there's no point in making tank build. Two additional masks won't help you with one hit K.O. so consider ditching Heart charm for Spell Twister ot Longnail. It will greatly help you. However! Baldur Shell (Blocking attacks when focusing) and Carefree melody (Random chance to block any damage) can still protect you. Consider using them on bosses where Spell-Spam isn't your priority because they can help greatly if you struggle with timings or patterns. Practice Ascended bosses
If you even want to try radiant boss you have to defeat it ascended form, aka slightly modified version of vanilla boss, aka radiant boss but with double damage instead of infnite one. Yep. That's only difference beetween them. So if you keep dying over and over, just try to find ascended one first time. Trust me, it helps way more than it seems.
Hollow Knight Easiest Dream Bosses
You'll die a lot Yes you can fight every single boss in game, even hardest ones like NKG or PV, and in their case in 9/10 cases it's impossible to recover from even smallest mistake, You'll die a lot, but don't get annoyed! If you're mad you're less effective what means you'll lose more. If you start getting mad at boss, take a small break, do few push-ups, grab a snack, do something that'll let you relax. Descending Dark is OP Descending Dark is upgrade for Desolate Dive, you can find it in Crystalized mound and this spell is really OP at times, if you use it the moment your Knight touches the ground you get tons of invincibility frames, DDark also deals great damage so paired with Shaman Stone you get invincibility that deals crazy amount of damage. Change your strategy if needed If you're at this point in game you most likely defeatet every boss at least once and established strategy for beating every boss that's best for you, the thing is it may not work that good, especially when you're stressed of dying in one hit, you don't have to shift your entire playstyle but even changing single charm can change battle greatly. For example, did you know that Minion build (Weaversong + Glowing Womb + Grimmchild) that many players consider very bad is really really good against Nosk? Find your own difficulty curve Some bosses are easier than others, that's obvious but difficulty always is subjective, start fighting radiant bosses from easiest to hardest, but do not use community established difficulty curve, it's really good in general ranking but everyone has different playstyles and different weaknesses, here I want to say that Broken Vessel (One of community choosen easiest bosses) took me five times as much attempts as Nightmare King Grimm (One of community choosen top 3 hsrdest bosses).
Dream Warriors Hollow Knight
Fight your favourite boss first Like I said ealier for me Broken Vessel was harder than NKG himself, but that's because said NKG is my favourite boss, I fought him many times just for fun so I remember every pattern and timing. In game like Hollow Knight everyone has favourite boss, therefore I reccomend fighting that one first. Don't push your limits Don't forget this is just game, even if you're completionist or achievement Hunter, there's no achievement for 'Hall of light' and bosses of this game can be genuinely mentally exhausting. Some peoples enjoy beating one Radiant boss beaten, some enjoy having hardest ones beaten only, and sone enjoy clearing everyone. Only you can set your limits here, so please don't push yourself over something that's hard for you, and if you want full 'Hall of light' please don't rush it either, take as much time as you need, do breaks, play other games etc. Because your health is most importatnt.
